Picking up a rental car in Iceland should be simple. With GO Self Service, you can collect and return your car 24/7 at our offices in Keflavík and Reykjavík, on your own time.

Shuttle Information

Flights to Iceland land at all hours, and nobody wants to wait in line after a long journey. Add GO Self Service when you book or through your account, and complete the online check in at least 24 hours before you arrive. Everything, including your rental contract, is taken care of before you land.

On the day of your pickup, you will receive a personal access code by email. Enter it at our KeyBox inside the office, collect your keys and find your car in the parking lot. Your Iceland road trip starts right there.

The service is available 24/7 at both our Keflavík and Reykjavík offices, so you can start and end your trip at any time that suits you.

How GO Self Service Works

Getting your rental car with GO Self Service only takes a few simple steps. Here is everything you need to know, from booking to collecting your keys.

Before You Arrive

  1. Add GO Self Service: Add it during checkout, or later through Your Account, at least 24 hours before pickup.
  2. Check In Online: Log in to Your Account, click "Check In" and sign your contract electronically at least 24 hours before arrival.
  3. Get Your Code: On the day of pickup, you will receive your code by email.

Our Keflavík shuttle runs between Keflavík International Airport and our office from 05:00 to 18:00 during the Off Peak Period (October 1 to May 14) and 24/7 during the Peak Period (May 15 to September 30).

Our Reykjavík shuttle runs from 08:00 to 16:00 during the Off Peak Period (October 1 to May 14) and from 08:00 to 17:00 during the Peak Period (May 15 to September 30).

If you arrive outside shuttle hours, you will need to take a taxi to the office for pickup, and arrange your own transport when returning your vehicle.

Our Reykjavík office is at Skógarhlíð 16, 105 Reykjavík. We offer a free shuttle for customers in the Reykjavík area to our office.

Yes, you must complete the online check-in on our website 24 hours before your arrival to use GO Self-Service. If you don't complete the check-in, we won't be able to place your key in the KeyBox.

Easily. Log in to Your Account and add GO Self Service to your booking. Please make sure it is added at least 24 hours before your rental pickup date. This works for rentals at both our Keflavík and Reykjavík offices.

On the day of your pickup, you will receive a secure code by email. Use this code at the KeyBox inside your chosen office, either in Keflavík at Fuglavík 43, 230 Reykjanesbær, or in Reykjavík at Skógarhlíð 16, 105 Reykjavík. Skip the line, collect your keys from the KeyBox, find your car in the parking lot and start your journey.

To complete the online check-in for GO Self-Service, go to Your Account and log in to your account. On the right side, you will see a box that says "check-in." Click on it and follow the prompts to provide the necessary information and sign the contract electronically. This must be done 24 hours before your arrival.

If you are picking up in Keflavík, head to the shuttle meeting point just outside the arrivals area after landing. Our free shuttle will take you to our office at Fuglavík 43, 230 Reykjanesbær, about a 5 minute drive from the airport. Proceed to the Self-Service Area
Head inside and locate the self-service kiosk.

Enter Your Booking Code
Use the touch screen, press “pick-up” and write your booking code.

Collect Your Keys
Your key will be released from the KeyBox once your reservation is located.

Close the KeyBox
Make sure the KeyBox is securely closed after retrieving your keys.

Returning is just as easy. Park in the designated area at your chosen office, either at Fuglavík 43, 230 Reykjanesbær, or at Skógarhlíð 16, 105 Reykjavík. Make sure the car is locked and all belongings are removed. Drop the keys in the return KeyBox inside the building, or in the after hours box in front of the office.
