Gravel Protection covers damages from gravel to your rental car, including the body, headlights, and windshield. It's crucial for Iceland's rough roads, which can be slippery and prone to accidents. Basic insurance has a gravel protection excess of €1000, Silver has €250, and both Gold and Platinum have zero excess.

The Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) limits your financial responsibility for damage to the rental car, covering most repair costs. All plans include CDW, ensuring peace of mind during your rental period.

Third-Party Liability Insurance covers damages to other vehicles or property in the event of an accident. It is included in all plans, offering comprehensive protection against third-party claims.

Theft Protection covers the rental car against theft, but it does not cover personal items stolen from the car. This ensures your rental vehicle is protected, but you should take care of your personal belongings.

The Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) reduces your excess liability to €1000 in case of a collision. This is included in Gold and Platinum plans for enhanced protection.

Our insurance does not cover damage to specific parts such as wheels, suspension, batteries, certain glass types, or radios. It also excludes coverage for theft of these parts and any resulting damage.

Damage resulting from encounters with wildlife or domesticated animals, such as bites, scratches, or collisions, is not included in our insurance coverage.

Our insurance does not cover damage to the transmission, drive, or chassis caused by rough or uneven roads. This includes damage from the vehicle scraping the bottom due to ridges left by road graders, stones lodged in the road surface or shoulders, and stones thrown up by the road striking the underside of the vehicle during driving.

Burns or scorch marks on seats, carpets, or mats caused by cigarettes or other heat sources are not included in our insurance coverage.

Our insurance does not cover damage caused by driving in restricted areas like paths, tracks, snowbanks, or beaches.

Damage caused by driving in areas with height restrictions, such as parking structures or tunnels, is not included in our insurance coverage.

Damage to the vehicle's doors, hinges, or fenders caused by wind catching the doors is not covered by our insurance. Renters are advised to exercise caution when opening doors in windy conditions to prevent such incidents.

Insurance does not cover towing or recovery expenses, including situations where the vehicle gets stuck in snow, mud, or sand. These costs are the renter’s responsibility.

Driving through rivers, flooded areas, or other locations prone to water ingress can cause damage that is not covered by insurance. Renters are advised to avoid risky water crossings and follow safe driving practices.
